“Something is wrong with the club. Something is wrong with the team.” Frank Arnesen and Søren Lerby don’t mince words when the conversation turns to FC Copenhagen following the 4-0 loss. They’ve long been skeptical about the direction FCK is taking, and this time they’re focusing particularly on the lack of leadership, intensity, and accountability on the field. Where are the players who step up when the going gets tough—and why does the team seem to be playing with the brakes on?

They’re much more enthusiastic about Bodø/Glimt. Søren points to the Norwegians as an example of how far you can go with a clear plan, a fast pace, and players who all know their roles. Even when star players are sold, the team continues in the same vein. Frank has also been at the stadium to watch PSV, where Ruben van Bommel in particular made a big impression. The young winger reminds him of a classic winger in the style of Jesper Grønkjær—fast, strong, and capable of cutting inside and around defenders.

Frank and Søren also reflect on Newcastle and Liverpool’s emotional farewells to Kevin Keegan. Both played against the English legend themselves, and the tribute serves as an opportunity to share personal memories and discuss the English people’s unique ability to keep their soccer history and old heroes alive.
